Lakewood, N.J.- A goal by LIU-Post's Hanna Westerling (So.-Alvadalen, Sweden) at 84:36 proved to be the lone tally in a crisply played contest at Georgian Court University Wednesday afternoon as the visiting Pioneers defeated the host-Lions, 1-0, on Investors Savings Bank Field.

Of the 24 shots the Pioneers (8-2) provided, Westerling's proved to be the one that counted most as she controlled a Julia Backman (Fr.-Morsil, Sweden) feed and dribbled around GCU keeper Casey O'Connor's right side to pop in the winner to the bottom right of the net.

The Lions (7-3-1) got eight shots off in the contest with both teams earning three corner kicks apiece. O'Connor collected nine saves in net for GCU. Katelyn Phillips (So.-Littleton, Colo.) gathered four saves in goal for the Pioneers.

Georgian Court returns to conference play Saturday afternoon with a road game at Dominican College. Start time is slated for noon.
