Lakewood, N.J.- It was a lost afternoon for the Georgian Court University softball squad Wednesday as the University of New Haven came to town and blanked the Lions 11-0 and 8-0 in two five-inning non-conference contests. The Chargers improve to 7-3 with the doubleheader sweep while GCU dips to 6-12 on the year.
GAME ONE
The Chargers exploded for 11 runs on 12 hits in the opening game as New Haven cruised to an easy 11-0 victory. 3B
Lindsey Coulturier (Jr.-Dighton, Mass.) led the attack with a 3-for-4 showing, which included three runs, two RBI, two doubles and a home run.
New Haven ace
Micah Stonesifer (Sr.-Archer City, Texas) went the distance for her third victory of the season (3-0), scattering three hits and striking out seven in the five-inning effort.
Deanna Daluise fell to 2-4 in the pitcher's circle for the Lions (3.0 IP, 10 H, 11 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 5 K). CF
