Tina Morgan threw 5.2 innings of no-hit baseball and Player of the Year candidate
Taylor McDonough picked an extra-inning, game winning hit as the Lions defeated Kutztown University, 3-2, in eight frames Wednesday afternoon in non-conference softball action. The Golden Bears rebounded in the nightcap, edging GCU by a score of 1-0.
The Lions, ranked 7th in the NCAA East Regional poll, now own a season mark of 24-19 while Kutztown sits at 17-26 on the year.

Morgan improved to 6-4 with the triumph, yielding two runs (2 ER) on three hits and three walks while striking out eight in eight innings. Ficara (12-14) permitted seven hits on three runs (1 ER) with seven hits and two bases-on-balls and seven hits.
Dara Schroeder dazzled at the top of the Lions' lineup, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases. the junior speedster now leads the CACC with 28 swipes.

Marka Ballard (Fr.- Redwood City, Calif.) in the bottom of the sixth provided the lone run of the nightcap, as the Golden Bears squeaked out a 1-0 win.
Mary Kociencki (Jr.-Columbia, N.J.) enjoyed the complete-game shutout, scattering six hits and three walks while striking out three GCU batters.
Deanna Daluise dropped to 10-9 on the season as she allowed one run (1 ER) on four hits and four walks (5 K) in five frames.
Schroeder added a 2-for-3 showing at the bat for the Lions.
The Lions return to conference play Friday afternoon doubleheader (3:00 p.m.) at Nyack College.
