Octivia Booker (triple jump) and
Sarah Zollner (pole vault) established new program-highs Friday afternoon as the Lions split a tri-match, losing to host-Rowan University, 65.50-127.50 and defeating Lehman College, 72.00-42.00.
For the second consecutive week, Booker shattered her school record with a triple-jump effort of 11.74 meters while also winning the long jump with a successful attempt of 5.47 meters. Freshman
Sarah Zollner broke GCU's four-year-old mark in the pole vault with a winning performance of 3.05 meters.
Malawi Allen continues to shine as the freshman won the high jump with a height of 1.63 meters.
Elaina Fenn and
Mariah Cifaldi placed behind Booker with triple jump efforts of 10.75 meters and 9.90 meters, respectively.
Shelby Frink topped all others in the shot put with a launch of 13.41 meters, followed by teammate
Stacey Labissiere at 11.58 meters. Frink also took home the gold in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.81 meters.
The women now prepare for next week's CTC Outdoor Championships, which will take place here at Rowan University.
