Lakewood, N.J.- In their first meeting since last season's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) semifinal showdown, the Georgian Court University women's took the pitch vs. Caldwell University on Homecoming Saturday hoping for a different outcome.

For the third straight time in conference play, the Lions proved to be comeback kids as the Lions erased an early 1-0 deficit and overcame the Cougars en route to a 2-1 victory to cinch up their seventh straight triumph (7-2) while also remaining undefeated in CACC competition at 6-0.

Caldwell (5-4-1, 4-2 CACC) pounced first at 10:34 when Carlyn Salus (So.-Pompton Lakes, N.J.) drove home her fifth goal of the year off a rebound following a sprawling initial save by GCU goalkeeper Natalie Axelsson.

Georgian Court's Kaitlin Lister knotted the affair at 1-1 in the 30th minute (29:14) when the freshman scorched an Anissia Fucci feed into the upper right from about 20 yards out. The tally marked Lister's fourth of the year.

The tie would stand firm until the 74th minute (73:57) when Tayler Bramley headed home a Jessica Constantine and Lister combo cross to put the home team ahead, 2-1, and ultimately seal the clutch conference win.

In a very offensive-driven contest, Caldwell outshot the Lions by a 20-15 margin and owned a 7-4 advantage from the corners.

Axelsson earned a hard-fought "W" in the Georgian Court net, securing eight saves in the effort.

The Lions now trek to Wilmington University Tuesday evening for another mighty CACC match. Start time is set for 7:00 p.m.
