Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's lacrosse squad was tagged with a 16-5 setback, courtesy of visiting Franklin Pierce University, Wednesday afternoon in the GCU Track & Field Complex.

The Ravens, in their third contest of the year, improve to 2-1 with the triumph while the Lions fall to 0-7 in their first term.

FPU compiled an insurmountable advantage of 14-1, putting the contest away with 4:46 remaining in the third period. Casey Burnett (Sr.-Windham, N.H.) and Jake Castorf (Fr.-Holbrook, N.Y.) each contributed three goals and an assist to the Ravens' victory while Brendan Caldeira (Sr.-Sandwich, Mass.) added a pair of tallies and two helpers.

Cory Boyle enjoyed his best outing in a GCU uniform as the junior accounted for three of the Lions' five goals. Brandon Razler and Jake Sherman also found the back of the net for Georgian Court.

Connor Wacksman (So.-Guilderland, N.Y.) earned the win in the Franklin Pierce net, registering eight saves during his 35:27 of action. Logan Eisenhart picked up 13 saves in goal for Georgian Court (68:28).

The Lions return to action on Monday with a 3:30 p.m. home game vs. St. Michael's College.
