Lakewood, N.J.- On a cold, blustery Wednesday afternoon on the campus of Georgian Court University, the host-Lions dropped a 16-5 decision to #14 Molloy College in NCAA Division II men's lacrosse action.
GCU, still seeking the first win in its young history, slips to 0-3 overall while Molloy goes to 3-0 on the year.

Michael Negrete and
Cory Boyle put the home team ahead, 2-0, with 5:07 remaining in the first period. Molloy closed out the stanza by rattling off three goals and added another at 13:28 in the second to take a 4-2 advantage.
Georgian Court's
Joseph Ramirez sliced the deficit to 4-3 with 11:19 to go before intermission, courtesy of
Connor Houghton's second assist of the game. Molloy went on to flex its muscle by outscoring the Lions, 6-1, over the remaining minutes of the second to head into halftime ahead, 10-4.
With the victory in hand, Molloy cruised through the final 30:00 with three goals in the third and another trifecta in the final session. Negrete netted his second goal of the game for GCU at the 4:59 mark of the third.
Seven Molloy players enjoyed multi-point outings, led by
