Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's lacrosse squad is still in search of its first program triumph as the Lions hosted Pace University Saturday afternoon, ultimately falling to the visiting Setters by an 18-7 decision.
Pace improves to 3-1 on the season after the road win while GCU dips to 0-4.
The Setters controlled the contest from the start, jumping out to an insurmountable lead of 13-0 with the final tally of the aforementioned assault coming at the 13:28 mark of the third period. Georgian Court's
Ryder Verdoni would snap the Pace shutout bid with a goal for the Lions at 11:08 in the third.
Verdoni found the back of the net again with 3:29 remaining in regulation.
Jake Sherman also tallied two goals for Georgian Court in the effort.
Anthony Gadaleta (So.Kings Park. N.Y.) paced the Setters' offense with his game-best four goals.
Robert Beshlian (So.-Wantagh, N.Y.) tallied two saves in 30:00 of action between the Pace pipes, earning the victory in the process.
Logan Eisenhart registered 12 saves in 28:00 for Georgian Court.
The Lions take a couple of days off before returning to the turf on Tuesday as GCU hosts LIU Post at 4:00 p.m.
