Lakewood, N.J.- The Pioneers of LIU Post coasted to a 16-3 victory over host Georgian Court University Tuesday afternoon, leaving the Lions in search of its first victory.
The visitors (3-2) compiled a 15-0 advantage before GCU's
Ryder Verdoni netted his fourth goal of the season with 11:02 left in the fourth period, extinguishing the Pioneers' shutout bid.
Jake Sherman represented the Lions' second tally of the contest just 0:41 later while
CJ Francisco accounted for the home team's final score of the day.
Ryan Slane (Sr.-North Babylon, N.Y.) authored seven LIU Post points with his three goals and four assists.
Matt Bellando (Sr.-Miami, Fla.) followed with four goals and two helpers while
Matty Beccaris (Sr.-North Babylon, N.Y.) deposited three goals and dished two assists.
Matthew Liantonio (Jr.-Miller Place, N.Y.) garnered two saves in 30:00 between the pipes to earn the win for the Pioneers.
Logan Eisenhart was saddled with the GCU loss, yielding 12 goals (six saves) in 30:00 of work.
