Springfield, Mass.- The Georgian Court University men's lacrosse squad closed out its inaugural campaign Saturday afternoon with a trip to American International College, eventually falling to the Yellow Jackets by a score of 13-10.
The Lions head into the off-season with a mark of 2-13 while AIC earned its first triumph of the year, improving its record to 1-14.
GCU established an initial 4-2 advantage with 4:40 remaining in the first quarter before the Yellow Jackets stung with three straight to end the stanza with a 5-4 lead. 
Cory Boyle netted the only tally of the second period, sending the contest into intermission at a 5-5 stalemate.
With the score knotted at 9-9 with 9:27 remaining in regulation, AIC proceeded to pour in three unanswered to garner an insurmountable 12-9 surplus with 5:01 left.
Ryder Verdoni paced the Lions' offense with a hat trick, while 
Connor Houghton contributed two goals. Boyle provided two goals and an assist.
Logan Eisenhart was tagged with the defeat in the Georgian Court net, collecting eight saves in the complete-game showing.
