Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's basketball squad, after two road affairs, returned to the GCU Wellness Center Tuesday evening where the Lions were topped by visiting Nyack College, 75-59, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition.
In a game they never trailed, the Warriors (4-9, 2-6 CACC) entered intermission with a 30-21 advantage before besting the Lions, 45-38, in the second session.
Robert Tyler Sr.-Beltsville, Md.) highlighted the Nyack offense with his game-high 28 points.
Jaron Smith (Sr.-Jersey City, N.J.) followed with 19 points, which consisted of four three-pointers.
Imran Ritchie (Jr.-Uniondale, N.Y.) added nine points and a game-best five assists.
Juwuan Carter registered a season-high 22 points in the effort for GCU while snagging eight rebounds.
Keith Hughes dropped in 12 points and swiped a six steals.
Tony Ellington, Jr. collected nine points while
Nikola Vujovic led all players with his nine boards.
The Lions take to the road this Saturday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. CACC contest at Felician University.
