KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 15, 2026) – This afternoon Georgian Court Men's Basketball had five men's basketball student-athletes recognized for their outstanding efforts in the classroom. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released their members of the Honors Court with Georgian Court landing five on the list. Additionally, the team was awarded the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26.
For the team Academic Award, Georgian Court was one of just five CACC teams to earn the award. Their five individual honorees to the Honors Court was the second-most in the CACC. GCU finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.13 team GPA.
Justin Agyare-Nkansah just wrapped up his junior season. He has a 3.29 GPA as a finance major.
Elijon Nix completed his first year at Georgian Court in 2025-26. The junior is studying Communications with a 3.32 GPA
Jacob Santiago has a 3.82 grade point average as a junior Finance major.
Justin Soranno recently graduated with a 3.75 GPA in Exercise Science.
Quentin Taylor was another first-year Lion. He was a senior Business Administration Major last year with a 3.42 GPA.
