Pomona, N.J.- Georgian Court University secured eight first-place finishes, while Devin Martin (Triple Jump) and William Goldsborough (Shot Put) established new team records, Saturday in men's track & field action as the Lions opened the 2019 outdoor season with an appearance in the Stockton University Invitational.

Martin, who topped all entries in the 110m Hurdles with a sizzling time of 16.97 seconds, also broke the previous team-best in the Triple Jump with a first-place leap of 13.95 meters. The distance bests the former mark of 13.53, set by teammate DaShawn Lamar-Baldwin back on Apr. 29, 2017 (TCNJ Invitational).

Goldsborough, with his meet-leading Shot Put heave of 16.71 meters, lands in the GCU annals, uprooting Joseph Kaas and his previous-best of 16.27 meters (May 1, 2016-CACC Championships).

The aforementioned Lamar-Baldwin continues to shine as the junior paced the field with his first-place time of 50.17 seconds in the 400m Dash. Ian Knapp trailed no one en route to a top mark of 23.11 seconds in the 200m Dash while the quartet of Knapp, Lamar-Baldwin, Chukwuebizie Anuamadi and Jake Thoms scored a first-place finish in the 4 X 400 Relay (3:28.36).

In field action, Dylan Breen soared to a top height of 6.50 meters in the Long Jump while Krzystof Paczesny debuted with the meet's best Javelin throw of the day at 56.13 meters.
