Lakewood, N.J. - Head coach Mike Murawski announced today that Joseph Sauchelli of Manalapan, N.J. will be joining the Georgian Court University men's track & field program this fall as the newest member of the Lions.

"We are extremely happy to add Joseph to the Georgian Court track & field team," stated Coach Murawski. "He had a great couple of seasons at the high school level and we believe he will be a tremendous asset to our program over the next four years. He is a dedicated student-athlete who will fit in perfectly with our throwers as he is a natural competitor with a great work ethic."

The 5' 11", 170-lb. high honor roll student graduated from Manalapan High School this spring where he was a member of the National Honor Society. Not only a varsity thrower, Joseph was also a member of the Braves' football team

"Georgian Court has really proven that they believe in me," shared Sauchelli. "There's nothing I respect more than that. When Coach Napoli went out of his way to meet me at a meet this past winter season, it really proved to me they were serious about wanting me. Meeting Coach Murawski as well, he knew I was a focused competitor and I knew he was serious about wanting me at Georgian Court. I'm super excited to work under these two great coaches and I believe anything is possible for me as their student-athlete."
