Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University athletics is pleased to release the latest installment of its 'Alumni Spotlight' as we catch up with our Lions of yesteryear.
Today, we visit with former men's lacrosse student-athlete,
Jeff Galatola. A graduate of the Georgian Court class of 2018 as a business management major, Jeff was a member of the first-ever CACC men's lacrosse championship squad his senior season. A USILA Division II All-American and USILA All-Star, the Jackson, N.J. native certainly made the most of his two seasons sporting the royal and gold!
What is your occupation?
"I am currently a special education paraprofessional."
Favorite Georgian Court Memory?
"Being the first team ever to win a CACC championship, as well as going undefeated in conference play throughout that season."
Favorite Class or Professor?
"Professor Elmore and marketing class ... she always had great energy and made it fun to be in her classroom. She was, by far, one of the best professors I ever had!"
What do you miss most from your time at Georgian Court?
"Playing lacrosse with my teammates and being around that environment. You don't realize how much you are going to miss it until it is all over. Coach Hover is one of the best coaches I have ever been around, as well as one of the greatest people I have ever met."
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give the freshman version of yourself?
"I would tell my freshman version to go after what you want. When things get hard, keep pushing because great things will come from it. Because things don't go your way doesn't mean they won't eventually. Work hard and you will get what you want out of Georgian Court!"
