New Haven, Conn. - Seventy-seven (77) total student-athletes were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's & Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced Tuesday by Commissioner
Dan Mara. The list includes 51 student-athletes on the women's squad and 26 on the men's team.
On the Georgian Court women's front,
Ivona Krakic lands her second-straight selection as the the junior psychology major recorded a 3.86 grade-point average. The quartet of
Brielle Bisogno (Education, 3.64 GPA),
Andejela Kremenovic (Computer & Information Sciences, 3.68),
Leighanna Lister (Criminal Justice, 3.51), and
Hanna Thrainsdottir (4.00/Digital Communication/Psychology) earned its first All-Academic honor.
As for the men's squad, three Lions made their debuts as All-Academics.
Titus Beard (Criminal Justice, 3.56),
Alexander Shevchenko (Digital Design, 3.81) and
Shane Williams (Undeclared, 3.63) represent the blue and gold on the list.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
