NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 2, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season last week, going 1-1 and playing their way into the CACC Tournament. Along the way, the Lions got big time contributions from senior
Cam Edmonds who earned the league's final CACC Player of the Week award.
For Edmonds, this is his third Player of the Week honor this season and the sixth of his career.
Needing to win to qualify for the CACC Tournament, Edmonds was at his best last week. He shot 53.1% overall, making 17-32 from the field. He was his usual self at the foul line, making 17-21. In two games, Edmonds averaged 27 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He also came up with eight assists and two steals.Â
In the Lions first game last week against Wilmington, Edmonds recorded his first career double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. He also finished three assists short of a triple-double. He nearly repeated the feat scoring 25 with nine rebounds against Post.Â
His efforts help Georgian Court qualify for the 2025-26 CACC Tournament beginning tomorrow night. It's the Lions third trip to the tournament and first since 2022-23. They earned the No. 7 seed and travel to Goldey-Beacom to take on the No. 2 Lightning Tuesday, March 3 at 6 pm.Â
