NCAA Releases 2021-22 Academic Success Rate Report

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Nov. 18, 2022) - The NCAA released their 2021-22 Academic Success Rate (ASR) report this week which tracks graduation rates among student-athletes within six years of their initial enrollment. Georgian Court succeeded the national average, with an ASR of 90%.

The ASR is the percentage of student-athletes who graduate within six years of initial enrollment in college and includes virtually all Division II student-athletes, including transfers and those not receiving athletics scholarships. This year's NCAA Division II ASR mark was 76%.

Georgian Court not only exceeded the national average, but the CACC average as well. The CACC had the fourth-highest ASR among 23 NCAA Division II conferences at 84%.

The announcement illustrates the CACC and its member institutions' amazing efforts to make sure student-athletes not just receive a college education, but also help to set a standard for academic excellence at their respective institutions.

"The CACC and its member schools work extremely hard in making sure that student-athletes don't just excel in their chosen sport, but also in the classroom," CACC Commissioner Dan Mara said. "Administrators throughout our conference do a great job of mentoring our student-athletes and teaching them that a college education will take them even further then they thought possible. Our student-athletes are learning valuable life lessons by achieving tremendous success in the classroom."

Georgian Court had two programs with a perfect 100% ASR. Those were women's soccer and volleyball. Those two programs helped the Lions to their 90% ASR score, which was sixth-highest in the CACC and T42nd in NCAA Division II.

Here's a more comprehensive breakdown provided by the CACC:
