Jan Volkmar each scored first-place finishes, and the Lions netted ten Top-10 showings as a squad, to complete a successful showing for Georgian Court Men's Track & Field at the annual two-day Stockton University Osprey Open.
Anuamadi sizzled to a top-mark of 1:55.69 in the 800m Run. The senior, with
Jarod Brzyski,
Nolan Czech, and
Kyle Spector, teamed up to smash the program record in the 4X800m Relay with a second-place time of 7:55.33. The previous-best of 8:29.90 was originally set back on April 18, 2018 (Rider University Invitational) by
Daniel Claudeo,
Hussein Elmeshad,
Patrick Parr, and
Jason Rodriguez.
Wayne Robinson (200m Dash-22.47 seconds) and
Kevin Knoetig (1500m Run-4:11.06) also tore up the track with third-place times in their respective events.
Jan Volkmar's athleticism was on full display as the freshman topped all-comers in the Decathlon (6,426 points), reaching the national qualifier in the event by a full six points.
Alejandro Valdez fired a first-place toss of 15.36 meters in the Shot Put.
Robbie Babson was the runner-up in the event at 15.01m.
Julian Rodriguez soared to a second-place height of 4.25 meters in the Pole Vault.
Dylan Breen (Long Jump-6.84m) and
Jeshurun Devero (Triple Jump-14.01m) also placed second overall in their specialties.
