Lakewood, N.J.- The Class of 2022 has been announced as 20 Georgian Court University student-athletes have earned selection into the prestigious New Jersey Iota Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.

This year's class includes: Jay Abraham (soccer), Nahomie Alejandro Negron (volleyball), Haley Amogretti (track & field), Titus Beard (basketball), Yanely Bohorquez (track & field), Aliya Canfield (soccer), Gianluca Cersosimo (soccer), Emily Clayton (soccer), Alyssa Dias (soccer), Kasha Elzinga (lacrosse), Hannah Gravante (track & field). Jack Guiton (soccer), Alexis Hahn (lacrosse), Alexa Houston (volleyball), Talysa Jimenez (lacrosse), Andjela Kremenovic (basketball), Jaison-Ashley Pleva (track & field), Shaine Sauter (lacrosse), Shane Williams (basketball), and Erin Wimmer (soccer).

"Congratulations to our 2022 Chi Alpha Sigma Inductee class," exclaimed Kristina Ortiz, Assistant Director of Athletics or Compliance/Interim SWA. "We are extremely proud of the work that you committed to your studies to be recognized and inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society." We so often see the results from the efforts you put into your sport, so it is just as important to celebrate your academic accomplishments. "We are proud to honor the 20 student-athletes being inducted and the 28 senior student-athletes graduating in May!"

The National College Athlete Honor Society was founded at DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, on May 17, 1996, as a student-athlete honor society for the recognition of high academic achievers and sport letter-winners at the collegiate level.

Chi Alpha Sigma was established to recognize college student athletes who earn a varsity letter in at least one sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and senior years. The governing board represents all levels of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
