Lions to Celebrate Senior Day Saturday vs. Post

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 31, 2023) - The CACC season is finally upon us as Georgian Court begins league action this weekend.

Senior Day
• Prior to the game, Georgian Court will recognize their senior class with a special on field ceremony.

Previously vs. Post
• Georgian Court and Post have had quite the rivalry with GCU leading the all-time series 4-3.
• Last season was a thriller that GCU came up just short in, 15-14 in Waterbury.
• The Lions raced out to a 7-0 lead, but couldn't hold on as Post outscored the Lions 6-2 in the fourth quarter.
• The Eagles tied the game with 3:19 to play, then won it with just 22 seconds left.
Daniel Burnham scored four goals for GCU with two assists. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court has been off for a bit, last having played Wednesday, March 22 against St. Thomas Aquinas.
• The Lions scored the first five goals en route to a 15-7 win.
• In the third quarter, STAC got to within one, 6-5.
• GCU scored nine of the final 11 goals to secure the win. 
Michael Ventresca, Joe Zerr and Vincent Giunta each scored three goals.
