Lions Have Great Weekend in North Carolina, New Jersey

Georgian Court Track and Field took part in two meets this weekend. Half of the team was in North Carolina at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting while half stayed in the home state of New Jersey at the Ramapo Invitational.

High Point
Sprints/Hurdles

• Wayne Robinson bettered his own 200m school record. He ran 22.09 to place 14th. 
• Robinson wasn't done setting PR's though. He also ran 50.15, .01 better than his previous PR to place eighth.
• Noah Roach ran the 100m and 200m. He was 32nd in the 100m running 11.13 and 54th at 200m in 23.43. 
• Jaison-Ashley Pleva moved up to eight all-time at Georgian Court in the 100m hurdles after running a personal-best 15.65 which placed her 18th in the competition. 
• For the men's 110m hurdles, Julian Rodriguez ran a personal-best time 15.55 which moves him up to fifth all-time at Georgian Court and placed 12th overall. 
• Rodriguez came back to run in the A Group of the 400m hurdles. He was 13th running 59.07.
• Henry-Jean Michel also ran the 110m hurdles. He finished in 15.93 and was 14th in the A Group.

Distance
• Kyle Spector ran in a pair of events. For 800m he was 27th running 2:02.81. He also placed 69th in a deep 1500m field running 4:09.57.
• On day one, Alec Valle ran the 5,000m and finished in 15:39.51, good for 28th place. 

Throws
• Joseph Sauchelli improved on his season-best javelin throw and took fifth place overall throwing 182-5. 
• Robbie Babson had a top-10 finish in the shot put throwing 53-3.75 for seventh place. 
• Babson also set a personal-best in the hammer throw with a mark of 150-10. 
• In the women's shot put, Elena Keck threw 37-10.75 to finish 22nd overall. 

Jumps
• Aniyah Russell hit an NCAA provisional qualifier in the long jump with her mark of 19-4.75 which placed her sixth. 
• Day two saw the triple jump. Shanae Rayside placed 11th jumping 38-5.5 and Jaison-Ashley Pleva was 21st at 36-9.5.
• Jeshurun Devero was in the men's triple jump. He finished 10th with a best-mark of 47-3.75.
• In the vertical jumps, Julia Kirschnick cleared 10-4.75 in the pole vault which was 12th in the B Group.
• Also in the B Group was Elena Martinez-Rodriguez in the high jump. She got over the bar at 5-0.5 to finished seventh. 
• Men's jumps saw Jan Volkmar take 12th place in the pole vault clearing 15-5.75. 

Ramapo
Sprints/Hurdles

• Terrell Moore led the GCU short sprinters. He ran 11.59 in the 100m dash which was 20th overall and puts him 10th all-time at GCU.
• Moore also ran the 200m and crossed the line in 23.56, an outdoor personal-best and finished 15th.
• Domenico Darcy had a top-10 finish in the 400m running 51.68 to finish ninth overall. Sean Donnamaria 13th in 52.21.
• Darcy finished that up with another top-10 finish in the 200m. He was 10th overall running 23.38.
• On the women's side, Yanely Bohorquez-Gonzalez took 15th in the 100m running 13.49. Samantha Lonseth placed 32nd running 14.66. 
• For 400m, Aaliyah Thorpe was 14th in 1:02.82 and Molly Burns 24th in 1:07.54. 
• The Lion sprinters finished with the 200m. Thorpe led the group finishing 19th in a personal-best time 27.67.
• Bohorquez-Gonzalez was 26th in 28.51 and Lonseth 43rd in 31.00.

Relays
• The women's 4x400m relay group of Beasley, Niya Barden Cazimoska and Ashlee Pataky ran 4:26.4 to finish in sixth place overall.
• The men were 15th. Donnamaria, Navarro, Rosky and Jamolawicz ran 3:37.55. 

Distance
• Dylan Navarro led four Lions in the 1500m running a personal-best in the event 4:21.54 for 25th place.
• Behind Navarro was Will Spector in 30th at 4:28.60, Thomas Rosky in 34th at 4:30.34 and Joseph Jamolawicz in 41st at 4:36.22.
• Two Lion women ran 800m. Amirah Beasley had a top-10 finish placing sixth in 2:28.20. Selma Cazimoska ran 2:57.05 good for 31st place.

Jumps
• Dylan Breen started his day jumping 21-5.5 which was good for third overall. 
• After fouling on his first two attempts, Breen then jumped 40-4.75 on his third in the triple jump to place 10th in the event.
