LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 27, 2023) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse finishes up the 2023 regular season Friday afternoon.

Previously vs. Dominican
• All-time GCU holds a 5-2 advantage over Dominican. 
• The Chargers were the Lions first ever opponent in 2016. A 9-4 GCU loss.
• Georgian Court also finished the 2022 season with Dominican. They ended the year with a 22-5 win.
• The Lions scored eight first-quarter goals.
• Michael Ventresca and Joe Zerr each scored five in the win. 

Last Time Out
• The Lions matched a program record with their seventh straight win. They defeated Bridgeport 21-8 to clinch the top-spot in the upcoming CACC Tournament.
• In their first-ever matchup with Bridgeport, the Lions defeated the Purple Knights 21-8.
• The Lions scored eight first-quarter goals. They then held Bridgeport to just two goals in the second half.
• Brett Bridges matched GCU records with six goals and 11 points.

Individual Milestones
• Michael Ventresca is now the first Lion to score 100 career goals and each goal will continue to add to his record. With one more game played, he'll match the Lions all-time record at 72.
• Daniel Burnham is also chasing 100 career goals. He's scored 95. He's also six points shy of becoming the Lions all-time leader in points. One more man-up goal will also set a new GCU record. 
• One more goal will get Ryan Rigby to 25.
• Tallen Smith needs five assists to become the third Lion to reach 50 assists.
• One more win and Vincent Burkhart will tie Austin Geissel for the most wins in a single season. 

Who's Hot?
• Each of the Lions seven straight wins have come with Vincent Burkhart starting in net. 
• Daniel Burnham has scored at least once in 13 straight games. He also has a ground ball in seven straight. 
• Tallen Smith has multiple points in 10 straight games.
• Brett Bridges has 26 points in his last four games. 
• Vincent Giunta has 10 goals in his last four games. 
• Max Dennington has three ground balls in four straight games.

CACC Playoff Picture
• Georgian Court has clinched a share of the CACC Championship and is guaranteed to be the number one seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament.
• Dominican is also guaranteed in the tournament. They are locked into the No. 5 spot which means they'll play in the play-in game and if they win that, will be the Lions first-round opponent.
• The 2-4 spots are still to be determined. Chestnut Hill, Post and Wilmington are the three teams that will make the postseason. The seeds are still to be determined.

• Georgian Court leads the league with 325 points and 127 assists. 
• The Lions 547 ground balls are tops in the conference as well. 
• With 232 saves, GCU is also leading the CACC and is ninth in the nation. 
• On special teams, GCU is first in the CACC stopping 77.3% of all man-up opportunities.
• Vincent Burkhart's .579 save percentage is second in the CACC and ninth nationally. 
• Daniel Burnham's 1.64 assists per game rank fifth. 
• Justin Iannarone is second in face-off percentage wining 60.2%.
• Joe Zerr has six man-up goals which is third in the CACC.

Dominican Chargers

• At 3-3 in the CACC, Dominican is guaranteed the number five spot in the CACC Tournament.
• They are 5-9 overall and have won two straight and three of their last four.
• This season the Chargers are averaging 8.71 goals per game.
