EWING, NJ (April 29, 2023) - Starting last night, Georgian Court Track and Field was in action at the TCNJ Outdoor Invitational. The meet featured on and off rain throughout both days and wind leading to sloppy conditions on the track.

Sprints/Hurdles
• After a 10th place finish at the Penn Relays in the long jump yesterday, Aniyah Russell came back to run the 100m dash for the first time in her career. She ran 12.74 which put her in fifth place and is now good for sixth all-time at GCU.
• Also in the 100m, Yanely Bohorquez-Gonzalez ran 13.44 for 20th place, Shalom Adzakro 13.72 for 28th and Samantha Lonseth 14.60 for 40th.
• Lonseth also ran the 200m, finishing 45th in 30.87. Molly Burns was 36th in the 200m at 29.64 and 22nd in the 400m at 1:08.13.
• Amirah Beasley had a top-10 finish in the 400m running 1:03.91 for 10th place.
• For the 400m hurdles, Selma Cazismoska ran 1:20.53 for 17th place.
• The only sprinter on the men's side to compete was Terrell Moore. He ran a personal-best 51.49 for 400m and finished ninth overall. 

Distance
• There were plenty of Lions in action in distance races on both days. Kyle Spector was in the invitational section of the 1500m Friday evening. He ran 4:08.65 for seventh place. 
• Xavier Seals was in the 800m invitational section and placed eighth running 2:00.43.
• In the open 1500m, Alex Valle was sixth running a personal-best 4:12.34. That moves him from ninth to 10th all-time at GCU. Thomas Rosky was 47th running 4:32.31 and Joseph Jamolawicz 49th at 4:32.65, a new personal-best. 
• The open 800m saw Dylan Navarro take 32nd at 2:04.95. Sean Donnamaria was 35th running 2:05.16. 
• Will Spector ran the 3,000m steeplechase and took third place running 10:42.74.
• In the women's 800m, Niya Barden ran 2:39.44 for 27th place. Ashlee Pataky was 40th in the 1500m running 5:53.61.

Jumps
• Jaison-Ashley Pleva was the winner in the women's triple jump. She hit a mark of 36-10.25 to pace the field. Julia Kirschnick set a personal-best in the event jumping 34-9.5 which moves her to eighth all-time on the Lions best-of list.
• In the long jump, Ingrid Zuniga-Rivera jumped 15-10.25 to finish in sixth place.

Throws
• Elena Keck had a sixth place finish in the hammer throw with her mark of 135-5.

Up next for Georgian Court is the 2023 CACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at GCU this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, May 6-7.
