Lions Look For Perfect Homestand Tuesday vs. Wilmington

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 3, 2023) - Georgian Court finishes up a three-game homestand, looking to go 3-0.

Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day
• This is the first of three designated Georgian Court Faculty and Staff Appreciation Days and the one designated for men's lacrosse.
• All current GCU faculty and staff members who attend the game can go up the to GCU tent outside the entrance to the Track and Field Complex to receive their free gift with valid GCU ID.
*Limit one per person.

Previously vs. Wilmington 
• Last season Georgian Court fell to the Wildcats on the road 17-8.
• The Lions took a big lead, 6-1, but were unable to hold on.
• By the end of the half it was a one-goal lead for the Lions.
• Wilmington then outscored GCU 12-2 in the second half.
Daniel Burnham tallied a team-high three goals.

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court had a strong second half in their 21-11 win over Post on Senior Day.
• The Lions lead was down to one, 6-5 with two minutes before halftime when Daniel Burnham and Vincent Giunta extended the lead with goals in the closing 30 seconds.
• GCU then went on a 9-1 run in the second half to put the game away.
Michael Ventresca scored four goals and set the new GCU record for career goals.

• Michael Ventresca is now the Georgian Court all-time leader in goals scored. He's at 93 and seven short of 100. 
Thomas Heegan is two ground balls away from 50.
• Joe Murphy needs one caused turnover for 25 and three ground balls to get to 50.
• With 16 face-offs taken, Justin Iannarone will set the GCU record for career face-offs. 
Vincent Giunta is four ground balls away from reaching 50. 
• Andrew Candino is three saves shy of 100.
