WEST POINT, NY (May 11, 2023) - Georgian Court Track and Field sent almost a dozen athletes to compete at the West Point Twilight. The Lions had an event winner and a handful of personal-bests among their competitors.
Track
• On the track, GCU had three men compete.
Alec Valle set a new school record in the 3,000m steeplechase. He finished third running 9:50.58. Valle now holds the school record outdoors in the 3,000m steeplechase and the 10,000m.

Sean Donnamaria also set a personal-best in the 400m running 50.55. That time is good for eighth all-time at Georgian Court and was sixth in the field.

Kyle Spector ran 4:03.25 in the 1500m. He won his section and was 19th overall.
Field
• In the long jump,
Aniyah Russell had the top mark jumping 19-10.25. She hit that on her third jump of the afternoon.

Shanae Rayside took second in the triple jump at 38-11.5 which was second overall.
• In the throws,
Joseph Sauchelli was second in the javelin throwing 186-11.

Sheridan Martinez launched the javelin 129-2 on her first throw which had her finish third overall.
•
Elena Keck was fourth in the hammer throw with a new personal-best 149-0. She also threw 38-2 for the shot put which placed her fifth.
•
Robbie Babson too fifth in the men's shot put throwing 52-5.25 on his final throw of the competition.Â
