GALLOWAY, NJ (Sept. 1, 2023) - The Cross Country season is officially in full swing for Georgian Court. They kicked off the year with their first race at the Stockton Invitational where the men finished in third place among eight teams. The women did not qualify for team scoring.
Two Lions finished in the top-10 on the fast and flat course.
Alec Valle had a fourth place finish completing the 6K race in 18:49.28.
Kyle Spector finished ninth in 19:01.73.
Xavier Seals was the Lions third scorer running 19:45.88, good for 27th place.
Joseph Jamolawicz and
Ryan Pettrow rounded out the scoring for the Lions finishing back to back in 42nd and 43rd place. Jamolawicz ran 20:12.99 and Pettrow 20:20.07.
Also in the top-seven for the Lion men were
Riley Keffer who ran 20:49.63 for 55th place and
Dylan Navarro in 59th place with a time of 20:57.47. Running in his first race with the Lions
Max Salgado-Vidal was 62nd in 21:20.44 and
Thomas Rosky was one spot behind in 63rd at 21:27.89.
Sean Donnamaria also competed running 24:16.66 for 85th place.Â
Rowan was the top team finisher on the men's side totaling 21 points. They had five of the top-five finishers including individual winner Caleb Clevenger who ran 18:41.62. Georgian Court was tops among the three CACC teams competing.Â
Georgian Court had four women run in the 5K race.
Amirah Beasley led the Lions running 22:16.59 which put her in 27th place.
Niya Barden ran 22:51.98 for 38th place.
Brenna Sullivan finishing in 23:20.10 for 44th place and
Selma Cazimoska was 64th in 25:47.85.Â
Host school Stockton were the team champs on the women's side. Kayla Kass of the Osprey's was the individual winner running 19:42.50.
Georgian Court races again next week at a familiar course. They'll be at Belmont Plateau for the Philly Metro Championships Saturday, Sept. 9. That's the same course the 2023 CACC Conference Championship meet will be on as well.Â
