Men's Basketball Back at Home Tomorrow Night

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 5, 2024) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball is back in Lakewood Tuesday night for a CACC South rematch.

Gameday Promotion
• One of Georgian Court's own, Paula Perez-Fabregas, had to leave the team early and is back home in Spain as she is undergoing cancer treatment's for Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer. To show the support from all of us at Georgian Court, the women's basketball team is selling Paula Strong t-shirts and bracelets with 100% of the proceeds going to Paula and her family.
• Shirts will be on sale in the lobby prior to and during the doubleheader. If you cannot purchase a shirt, please wear a white shirt to "white out" the Wellness Center in support of Paula.
• Additionally, all GCU students who come to the game with their student ID will get one slice of pizza from Destino's Pizza. While supplies last. 

Previously vs. Holy Family
• The two teams split the season series last year with the home team winning each.
• Earlier this season, Holy Family took a 15-point lead at halftime on their way to an 87-64 win in Philadelphia.
• Three Lions were in double-figures led by Clint Wright, Jr's. 12. 
• Historically, HFU has won 14-of-19 games with the Lions.
• Prior to their game in December, the games had been low-scoring affairs with the winning team failing to reach 70 points in five straight.
• GCU won by three at home last year. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court finished a three-game road trip with an 85-70 loss at Caldwell.
• The Lions and Cougars were tied at 25 in the first half, but Caldwell outscored them 24-8 to take a 49-33 lead into the half.
• Caldwell went on to win 85-70.
• Clint Wright, Jr. scored 24 points sinking 4-9 from deep. 

Who's Hot?
• Clint Wright, Jr. has 10+ points in eight straight games. 
• Hassan Jackson set a new career-high scoring 12 against Caldwell. 
• Anthony Rivera is 16 for his last 23 over three games with 36 points. 
• Taheen Braswell-Brown has reached double-figures in four straight games. 
• Thomas Menegus played a season-high 18 minutes at Caldwell and scored four points on 2-3 shooting.

About Holy Family
• The Tigers are 6-13 this season with a 2-7 mark in CACC play. 
• Holy Family is yet to win a game on the road. 
• On the whole this season, Holy Family is scoring 74.9 points per game while shooting 44% overall, 35.7% from three and 68% at the foul line.
• The Tigers lead the CACC taking nearly 26 three-pointers per game. 
• Holy Family is fifth in the league in steals with 8.3 per contest and they've used that to score 12.6 fastbreak points per game, third in the CACC.
