Men's Lacrosse To Battle Caldwell and the Rain Saturday Morning

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 22, 2024) - In what promises to be a wet and rainy Saturday, Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse will still be on the field looking for a 2-0 start to CACC play.

* Please note the special 11 a.m. start time. This was done because of a Georgian Court softball doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. Even though that has been postponed, the men's lacrosse time will not change and will be played as scheduled. 

Additionally, due to the rain, Youth Sports Day is being postponed as is the Georgian Court Blue and Gold Day.

Previously vs. Caldwell
• Caldwell Lacrosse is still a new program in it's fourth year of existence.
• Georgian Court has defeated the Cougars in all three previous matchups.
• Last year GCU got ahead 5-1 after the first quarter, on their way to a 20-10 win.
• Twelve different Lions scored a goal with Vincent Guinta netting three.
Vincent Burkhart got the win in goal making eight saves. 

Last Time Out
• The Lions have had a week off following their CACC opening win at Post.
• GCU defeated the Eagles 15-7 in Waterbury.
Vincent Burns, Brett Bridges and Joe Zerr all scored three times.
• Georgian Court was up 6-1 early in the second and never trailed in their eight-goal victory.
Vincent Burkhart stopped 14 shots.

• Brett Bridges is fifth in the CACC scoring 2.75 goals per game. His six man-up goals leads the league and is ninth nationally. 
• Vincent Burkhart is sixth in the league making 12.13 saves per game. 
• Michael Schone is just outside the top-10 causing 1.50 turnovers per game. 
Garrett Kenny is third in the league winning 55.4% of his faceoffs. The Lions as a team are winning 53.2%, also third.
