LOUISVILLE, KY. (March 29, 2024) - For the second consecutive season, Georgian Court's Kaitlyn Stufft makes an appearance on the Tucci/NFCA Division II Player of the Year Watch List.

She's one of 120 student-athletes from across the country on the list. The list is broken down into the eight NCAA Regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West) with up to 15 student-athletes represented in each region. The list is compiled by the elected members of the NFCA Division II All-American Committee with one head coach representing each of the eight NCAA regions. To be eligible, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member.

This season, Stufft is putting up video game type numbers. She's hitting .486 in 22 games and 74 at bats with a .519 on-base percentage and .878 slugging percentage. She's collected 36 hits with15 going for extra bases with eight doubles and seven home runs. Stufft has driven in 27 runs and scored 22 times. 

Stufft leads the CACC in home runs and slugging percentage. She's also second in batting average, on-base percentage and runs batted in. 

The Player of the Year award was created in 2015 to honor the outstanding athletic achievements among softball student-athletes throughout NCAA Division II. In 2019, the Association expanded the award to include a Player and Pitcher of the Year.
