Men's Lacrosse Returns Home To Face Setters

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 4, 2024) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse is back home this week for their first game in seven days.

Previously vs. Pace
• Georgian Court is winless in five games against the Setters.
• The two teams have met each of the last two seasons. This will be the first time they ever play in three consecutive seasons.
• In all five games, the GCU offense has not reached double-figure goals. They' most was seven in their first ever meeting in 2016.
• A year ago in Pleasantville, Pace raced out to a 7-0 lead after one on their way to a 16-5 win.
• Vincent Guinta scored twice for the Lions and Tallen Smith had a goal and an assist. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court was on the road at No. 9 Mercy last week. 
• The Lions scored the first goal, but the Mavericks hit the next four and never trailed again on their way to a 19-9 win.

Tyler Burns is in the CACC top-10 for assists per game with 1.50.
• Georgian Court is tops in the league winning 65.1% of all faceoffs.
• Offensively, they have the best man-up offense converting 70% of their opportunities. That number is also third in the country.
• The Lions 14.50 goals per game is the most in the league this season.

• Pace started their season just last week and picked up a pair of wins, including a 26-11 thumping of Wilmington.
• The Setters are 2-0 this season and were ranked 13th in the latest USILA top-25 poll (Feb. 26).
• Before the season got underway, Daniel Zabbia was named a USILA Preseason Second Team All-American. A year ago, Zabbia scored 49 goals and was Second Team All-NE10.
• Speaking of the NE10, Pace was picked to finish fourth in the league's preseason coaches poll.
• In their two wins last week, the the offense was led by Ryan Kemp. He scored nine goals with four assists, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Declan Landers is also in double-figure points through two games with five goals and a team-best six assists.
• Jack Kern started both games in goal and has a .513 save percentage and 10.74 goals against average.
• The Setters won 55% of faceoffs last week with an 87.2% clearance rate. Opponents successfully cleared just 65.7% of the time.
• Pace's defense forced 41 turnovers in two games, causing 16 of them. The Setters gave the ball away just 29 times.
