LAKEWOOD, NJ (May 13, 2024) - The accolades keep pouring in for a pair of Georgian Court Softball seniors. This afternoon the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) came out with their 2024 All-Region team with two Lions represented on the team. Kaitlyn Stufft was named the East Region Player of the Year and makes the First Team. Adriana Mungo joined her on the All-Region Second Team.

This is Stufft's second All-Region award in as many weeks. She was selected to the NFCA All-Region Team last week. For her career, Stufft is now a six-time All-Region selection. All six times she's made the First Team. This is also Stufft's second D2CCA Regional Player of the Year award. She'll add this one to her Player of the Year award from 2022. 

The Temecula, Calif. native was in contention for the CACC triple crown leading the league with 16 home runs. She also was second hitting .486 and third with 52 runs batted in. Her 18 doubles also tied for the league-high and her .944 slugging percentage was tops in the league and fourth in all of Division II. She finishes her career as just the fourth Lion to ever hit .400 for her career and her 187 RBI are a program-record in the NCAA era while her 47 home runs and .754 slugging percentage are the second-most. 

In addition to the D2CCA Regional Player of the Year award, Stufft won her second CACC Player of the Year honor as well. She's just the second Lion to ever be named a two-time CACC Player of the Year, joining Rachel Ruch in 2011 and 2012. Her combined six All-Region awards are the most in Lions history. 

As a First Team member, Stufft is now eligible for All-American consideration and as a Regional Player of the Year, Stufft is on the ballot for the D2CCA National Player of the Year.

Another senior from Temecula, Calif., Adriana Mungo picks up her fourth career All-Region award. If not for Stufft, it would be Mungo with the most All-Region awards in the NCAA era in Lions history. Her four All-Region awards match her four All-CACC awards. 

Mungo had another terrific year hitting .387 with a .447 on-base percentage, 18 doubles, 48 runs scored and 31 driven in. She and Stufft tied for the league-lead in doubles while she was also in the league's top-10 for runs scored, average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. Before the year ended, Mungo set a new Georgian Court record hitting her 62nd career double. She'll also finish in the Lions all-time top 10 in average, on-base, slugging, hits, runs, and RBI. 

Although she saw lots of time at second base this season, Mungo makes the D2CCA All-Region Second Team at catcher.

Stufft and Mungo were just two of 12 CACC student-athletes to make the All-Region team. The 12 were the most of any conference in the region with the ECC collecting 10 and the Northeast-10 six. The CACC put eight on the First Team while both the ECC and NE10 saw three each.
