RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.  (May 23, 2024) - It's another day and another major award for Georgian Court Softball senior Kaitlyn Stufft. After being named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) First Team All-American yesterday, today Stufft doubled up on the All-American accolades, earning Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) First Team All-American honors. 

Yesterday Stufft claimed the 16th NCAA All-American award in program history, making today's announcement the 17th. For the postseason, Stufft has now earned two First All-American honors, two First Team All-Region honors, one Regional Player of the Year award, the conference Player of the Year award and a First Team All-CACC selection. She's just the second Lion to ever be named a two-time CACC Player of the Year, joining Rachel Ruch in 2011 and 2012. Her combined six All-Region awards are the most in Lions history. 

The Temecula, Calif. native nearly pulled off the CACC triple crown leading the league with 16 home runs and finishing third with 52 runs batted in. She also was second in the conference and third nationally hitting .486. Her 18 doubles also tied for the league-high and her .944 slugging percentage was tops in the league and third in D2.

For her career, Stufft finished as just the fourth Lion to ever hit .400 batting .402 in 183 games and 552 at bats and her 187 RBI are a program-record in the NCAA era. She finished second all-time at GCU with 47 home runs and a .754 slugging percentage. 

This is the second consecutive season Stufft has taken home D2CCA All-American honors. She was All-American Honorable Mention in 2023. Stufft becomes the first Lion to ever earn two First Team All-American awards in the same season from different publications. She's the second to ever earn three total All-American awards (along with Ruch) and the first to be named an All-American in back-to-back seasons.
