NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Nov. 24, 2025) - Two weeks into the season and two straight CACC Rookie of the Week awards for Georgian Court Freshman Jaycen Santucci. Through the first two weeks of the season, Santucci has been the only student-athlete to earn the CACC Rookie of the Week award. 

Santucci put together another pair of outstanding performances as the Lions upped their winning streak to three, defeating Bloomsburg and Kutztown last week. He started both games and shot 64% overall and was 7-8 at the foul line, averaging 17.5 points and eight rebounds per game.

He started the week putting up 17 points on 8-10 shooting against Bloomsburg. Santucci then scored 18 and was a rebound shy of a double-double in the Lions comeback win over Kutztown. 

Santucci becomes not only the first freshman in GCU history to earn back-to-back CACC Rookie of the Week awards, he's the first to be awarded twice in the same season.

Georgian Court is back on the road tomorrow night, Tuesday, Nov. 25 as they travel to East Stroudsburg to take on the Warriors at 7 pm. They then come home following Thanksgiving as they host the College of Staten Island Saturday, Nov. 29 with a 12 pm tipoff.
