Mercy Mavericks
• Mercy qualified for their fifth straight NCAA Champions Tournament a year ago, but were ousted in the first round by Saint Anselm, 14-11.
• The Mavericks ran roughshod over the ECC, going a perfect 6-0 during the regular season and then winning the tournament with a 19-11 win in the semifinals over Molloy and an 18-5 win over Frostburg State in the finals.
• Mercy, like Georgian Court, has played one game so far this season. They're 1-0 after a 17-5 win vs. Franklin Pierce last Saturday.
• The Mavericks are ranked 11th in the preseason poll after starting the year ranked ninth.
• Devon Duchnowski leads the team as a preseason All-American Second team selection at midfield.
• In the Mavericks win over Franklin Pierce, Jimmy Osorio totaled 10 points with five goals and five assists.
• Mercy also returns last season's starting goalkeeper Cameron Dorfman who was 10-2 a year ago with an 8.86 goals against average and .569 save percentage.
