Men's Lacrosse Looks to Stay Hot at American International

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 28, 2025) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse looks for their third straight win this weekend.

Previously vs. American International
• Georgian Court and American International will play for the first time since 2017.
• These two teams met in each of the Lions first two seasons as a program.
• The Yellow Jackets came out on top in both, the 2017 game a 10-9 AIC overtime win.
• That overtime win saw AIC come back from down 9-7 after three quarters. They scored twice in the fourth and didn't allow a goal to send the game to overtime where they won 47 seconds into the period. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court won their second consecutive game, 17-10 over St. Thomas Aquinas.
• It was the Lions second straight scoring 17 goals and getting a win.
• Tied at two, Brett Bridges put the Lions up with a man-up goal. That started a 5-0 run for the Lions who led the rest of the way.
• Bridges scored six times while Doug Mackenzie found the net five.
Vincent Burkhart made 15 saves. 

Individual Milestones
• Both Vincent and Tyler Burns are one goal away from 25. 
• Joe Murphy is three caused turnovers away from 50 and Max Dennington needs just one. Only two Lions have ever reached 50 in their careers. 
Doug Mackenzie needs two goals to reach 50. 
Brett Bridges is three goals short of 100. He's be the fourth Lion to ever reach that total.
• His next game played will be Vincent Burkhart's 40th in goal. He needs 14 saves for 500, something done just once before in program history.

• Doug Mackenzie has 10 goals in three games.
• Joe Zerr has tallied at least one goal and at least one assist in each game. 
• Matt Dorrian has two goals in each of his last three games. 
• Broadie Seaborn has an assist in each game this season.

Vincent Burkhart has the most saves in the CACC with 50. He's also second in save percentage and third in goals against average. 
• The Lions have the top shot percentage at 38.1%.
• GCU has some of the best special teams in the country. They're five in man-up offense converting more than 60% of the time and sixth in man-down defense with a 93% penalty kill.
• Georgian Court's 65 points are the second most in the league. They also have the second-most assists with 25.

American International Yellow Jackets

• American International has played just one game this season. That was an 11-8 win over CACC foe Dominican.
• They went 5-10 last season and just 1-8 in the Northeast-10.
• AIC was picked to finish last in the NE10 Preseason Coaches Poll.
• Long stick midfielder Carter Linkletter was named a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention last season. He was chosen as a Preseason All-American on the Third Team ahead of the 2025 season.
• Jacob Ligor scored five goals in the win over Dominican.
• Logan Dobrowski started in goal and played 30 minutes making nine saves. Nicholas Kendall also played 30 minutes and made seven saves. 
• The Yellow Jackets were excellent on faceoffs winning 18-23.
