Men's Basketball Returns Home to Face Wilmington

Last Time Out
• After coming back from down 14 to take a second-half lead, Georgian Court ultimately fell 88-74 at Bridgeport on Saturday afternoon.
• It was a game of runs, as Georgian Court used a 17-2 second-half run to take the lead before Bridgeport grabbed the lead back and went up by as many as 22 points.
• The Lions forced 23 turnovers, their second-highest total of the season. 
• GCU allowed a season-worst 59% from the field.
• Cam Edmonds had another dominant performance, scoring 34 points, shooting 5 of 11 from 3 and going 9 of 12 from the free-throw line. 
• Donavin Crawford totaled a season-high 19 points and tied a career-high with four triples.

Cam the Man 
• Cam Edmonds set the new Georgian Court single-season record for free-throw makes on Saturday. He also notched his program-record fifth 30-point game of the season.
• The junior was named to the CACC's weekly honor roll on Monday for last week's performance.
• Following Edmonds' program-record 48-point outburst on January 22, the junior became the first player in GCU history to win a national weekly award, after being named the National Association of Basketball Coaches/Division II Conference Information Directors Association (NABC/D2CIDA) D-II Player of the Week. He is the first CACC men's player and second from the East Region to win the award this season. He was also named CACC Player of the Week.
• In that contest, he also broke Georgian Court and CACC records for single-game free-throws made and attempted, hitting 22 of 28 free throws, both of which pace all three NCAA divisions this season. 
• The guard's 48-point performance is the second-highest total among all Division II players this season and fourth-highest in CACC history. 
• Not only did Edmonds set the new Georgian Court scoring record, he became the first Lion with a 40-point performance.

Road Warriors
• After spending much of their time at home in December and January, the Lions will rack up some travel miles this month.
• Beginning last Saturday at Bridgeport, the Lions are on the road for five of their final seven contests. 

CACC Standings
• With six games remaining, Georgian Court is in fifth place in a tight CACC South Division.
• Jefferson and Chestnut Hill are at the top at 6-4, followed by Goldey-Beacom at 5-5 while Wilmington is 3-6, one game ahead of the Lions.
• The top four teams qualify for the CACC Postseason Tournament. 

Individual Milestones
• Cam Edmonds is 24 points away from seventh all-time on the GCU scoring chart.
• Edmonds is five free throws from fourth most all-time. The junior is also four steals from top-five in single-season program history.
• Donavin Crawford is one 3-pointer away from entering the Lions' all-time top-10.
• Taheen Braswell-Brown is five points shy of 300 in his career.

CACC Leaders
• Cam Edmonds remains the top scorer in the CACC and ranks 12th nationally with 23.0 points per game.
• Edmonds also leads the conference and is fifth in Division II in free-throws made.
• Both Edmonds and Justin Soranno are top-25 in the CACC with just above 5.0 rebounds per game each.
• Soranno also sits top-15 in the conference in blocked shots while Edmonds is 12th in steals.
• Edmonds and Donavin Crawford rank second and fifth in the CACC, respectively, in 3-point attempts.
• Georgian Court leads the conference with 26.8 3-point attempts per game.
• The Lions sit fourth in the league with 8.8 steals per game and fourth in turnovers forced.

Who's Hot?
• Cam Edmonds has reached double-figures in all 18 games played this season. He's reached the 20-point plateau in 12 of them.
• Donavin Crawford has hit double-figure points in six of his last seven games, including a season-high 19 points and a career-high-tying four triples last Saturday.
• Anthony Gooden is averaging over seven points per game across his last five contests. 

Series History vs. Wilmington
• Georgian Court trails the all-time series, 5-16, and has lost each of the last four matchups.
• In the previous meeting, the Wildcats took down the Lions, 92-71, in Wilmington back in December.
• Cam Edmonds scored a team-best 21 points while going 11 of 14 at the foul line. Justin Harper added 18 and went 7 of 12 from the floor including 4 of 5 from 3.
• The Wildcats shot 50% from the field, its highest conference total of the season until last Saturday's performance.
• The teams have met every year of the Lions' 12-year program history outside of the 2020-21 COVID-shortened season.

About Wilmington
• Wilmington holds the fourth and final postseason spot in the CACC South Division at 3-6. The Wildcats are 5-16 overall.
• Wilmington is coming off an 81-72 loss to Post on Saturday.
• Despite their poor record, only one of the Wildcats' conference losses have come by over 10 points.
• Wilmington ranks second in the CACC with 23.2 free-throw attempts per game.
• The Wildcats struggle on defense and on the glass. They rank second-to-last in the conference in both scoring defense and rebound margin at 82.9 and minus 6.5, respectively.
• The program is led by the dynamic freshman duo of Denim Perkins and Jaylin Horsey.
