LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 13, 2025) - Georgian Court Baseball will play their first home games in program history this weekend.
There has been a location change however. Jackson Justice Complex, home of Georgian Court Baseball, has laid down fresh sod in anticipation for the season. The sod is not quite ready to be played on yet, so Saturday's doubleheader is being moved to Ocean County Community College.

CACC Action
• This weekend is not only the Lions first home games, but their first conference games.
• Georgian Court plays in the CACC North Division, as opposed to the South like they do in Basketball and Volleyball.
• The CACC schedules inter-division games as weekend doubleheaders, Saturday and Sunday, with each team playing a home and away doubleheader.
• Out of division doubleheaders are a single doubleheader played during the week.

About the Opponent
Post Eagles
• Just like Georgian Court, Post is 1-7 to start the season.
• They had a historic 2024 season going 19-6 in the CACC regular season, winning the CACC Tournament and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
• The offense has been a problem for the Eagles early in 2025. They've only scored more than six runs once this season. That was in a 14-12 win over Bentley in their last game.
• Post hasn't played in more than a week, so they'll be well rested. Their last game came Tuesday, March 4.
• Brennan Holligan has started twice on the mound and pitched to a 4.09 ERA in 11 innings with 16 strikeouts.
• The Eagles are hitting .288 as a team. Hayden Roberge leads the squad with a .414 average.
• Jaylen Kelley has driven in a team-best seven runs.
• Post has been dreadful stealing bases. They're just 2-8 this season.
• They're playing solid defense with a .957 fielding percentage and have allowed just four unearned runs.

Head Coach Arlan Freeman
• Coach Freeman is in his 15th season of collegiate coaching and seventh as a head coach. He Georgian Court is the second program he has started from the ground up, doing the same at St. Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ.
• That came after his first head coaching stint at New Paltz, where he was head coach for two season, earning the SUNYAC Coach of the Year award
• He has spent time as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Universities, Barry, Lynn and Felician and Division III Stevens Institue of Technology.
• Freeman has also worked professionally within the Cape Cod League.
Baseball at Georgian Court
• With the start of the Baseball season, Georgian Court now sponsors 16 sports, seven men's and nine women's.

Women's Sports: Acrobatics and Tumbling, Basketball, Cross Country, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, I/O Track and Field, Volleyball
Inaugural Schedule
• The first eight games Georgian Court will play this year will all be on the road, against six different teams.
• Following their series against Erskine, GCU will play single games with Staten Island, West Virginia Wesleyan, New Haven, Lynn and Bentley.
• The Lions first ever home game will coincide with their first ever conference game. They host Post Saturday, March 15 at the Jackson Justice Complex.
• The CACC is split into two divisions, North and South, much like Basketball and Volleyball. However unlike Basketball and Volleyball, the Lions will compete in the CACC North Division this season.
• Georgian Court has 50 games on their schedule, 20 at home and 30 on the road. Of the 50, 36 are conference games.
