Men's Lacrosse Kicks Off CACC Play at Bridgeport

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 14, 2025) - It's CACC season for Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse! They play their first conference game Saturday evening.

Previously vs. Bridgeport
• Bridgeport joined the CACC ahead of the 2023 season.
• Georgian Court has defeated the Purple Knights both years since they entered the league.
• Last year was a tight 11-10 victory in Lakewood. 
• Bridgeport pulled ahead in the fourth, 10-9. Harrison Jordan tied the game with 7:09 left and James Sanford hit the game winner with 3:28 to play. 
Vincent Burkhart came up with a big save in the closing seconds to preserve the win. 

Last Time Out
• It was a low scoring affair as the Lions traveled to Massachusetts to take on Assumption.
• GCU led 3-2 after the first quarter, but scored just three goals the rest of the way.
• The Greyhounds took the lead with a 3-0 second quarter and never trailed again on their way to an 8-6 win.

Brett Bridges needs three goals to move to a tie for second all-time in career goals scored. Seven goals sets a new GCU record. 
Matt Dorrian is two goals away from 25 and four shots short of 100. 
Harrison Jordan needs four points to reach 50 and one more shot gets him to 100 as well. 
Max Dennington needs to cause two more turnover to reach 60, something just one other Lion has ever done. Four more will set a new all-time record.
• Millan Webster is two goals away from 25.
• James Sanford needs three points for 75. One assist will bring him into a tie for seventh all-time. 
• One more shot will bring Tyler Burns to 100.
Brodie Seaborn is one point away from 25. 
• Joe Zerr's next game played will be his 50th.

• Vincent Burkhart has made 37 saves in his last two games with a ave percentage above 50%. 
• Joe Murphy has 11 ground balls in his last four games.

About the Opponent
Bridgeport Purple Knights

• Bridgeport snapped a three-game losing streak Wednesday with a win over American International to move to 2-3 on the season.
• Both Purple Knight wins have been by one goal. This win over AIC came in overtime after trailing by two with less than a minute to play.
• Down 12-10, UB rallied for goals with 35 and 10 seconds left on the clock to tie and eventually win in overtime. 
• Bridgeport is averaging seven goals per game. In each of their three losses, two against ranked opponents, they haven't scored more than four goals.
• The Knights are winning 53% of all faceoffs. Sal D'Amico is 40-71 to lead the team.
• The offense is led by Ashton Lankowski and Hunter Lizza who both have nine points. Lankowski's have come on nine goals while Lizza has five goals and four assists.
