After Five Game Road Trip, Men's Lacrosse Comes Back Home

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 25, 2025) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse is back from a month-long, five-game road trip. They welcome their third ranked opponent to Lakewood this week.

Previously vs. Molloy
• This battle of Lions has historically been a series of winning streaks.
• Molloy leads the all-time series 6-3, including winning two straight.
• Molloy started the series winning each of the first four games.
• Georgian Court then won three straight from 2020-2022 before Molloy won the last two.
• Each of the last two have been played on Long Island. This is the first meeting between the opponents in Lakewood since 2022.
• Last season, GCU broke a 7-7 tie with a Tallen Smith goal in the closing seconds of the third quarter to grab a one-goal lead.
• Molloy though outscored GCU 6-0 in the final frame and walked away with a 13-8 win.
Doug Mackenzie scored twice for the Lions. Vincent Burkhart made 15 saves. 

Last Time Out
• The Lions finished off their five-game road trip with a 14-8 win at Felician.
• They ended the road trip at 3-2 and now play three straight at home.
• Felician scored the first two goals of the game, but GCU used a 5-1 second quarter to pull ahead and stay ahead in the 14-8 victory.
Brett Bridges scored six goals with an assist.

Matt Dorrian and Vincent Burns are five points away from 50.
Harrison Jordan is two goals shy of 30.
Millan Webster and James Sanford's next game will be their 60th.
Brodie Seaborn is one ground ball away from 20. 
• Max Dennington needs three more caused turnovers to set a new program record.
• James Sanford needs three points for 75. One assist will bring him into a tie for seventh all-time. 

Who's Hot?
• Vincent Burkhart has made 50 saves in his last three games with a save percentage above 50%. 
• Brodie Seaborn has scored three points in four of his last six games. 
• Doug Mackenzie has scored in all seven games he's played in this season, while Brett Bridges has scored in seven straight. 

CACC Stat Leaders
• Doug Mackenzie and Brett Bridges are tied for fifth in the CACC in goals scored. 
• Bridges is fifth in points and Mackenzie seventh. 
• Harrison Jordan is third in assists. 
• Max Dennington is second in the CACC in caused turnovers while Joe Murphy is fifth.
Daniel Devitt is fifth in the league in ground balls 
• Vincent Burkhart has the most saves in the CACC with 114. 
• The Lions offense is second in the CACC having scored 165 points.  
• The defense is second with 102 caused turnovers. 
• GCU is leading the league in man-up offense scoring 43% of the time on the power play, which is also 10th in the NCAA. 

Georgian Court vs. Ranked Opponents
• Georgian Court has never defeated a USILA ranked opponent in their history. 
• They're 0-30 all-time dating back to 2016.
• The offense has been tough to come by for GCU against ranked opponents. They're yet to score 10 goals in any of those 30 games.
• The most they scored was nine last season against Mercy. 

About the Opponent
#18 Molloy Lions

• Molloy is off to a 7-3 start on the season.
• They've dropped two straight though playing last week in Florida at Embry-Riddle and at No. 8 Flagler.
• The Lions have had their way with CACC opponents thus far. They're 6-0 against the CACC having defeated Dominican, Wilmington, Bridgeport, Caldwell, Chestnut Hill and Post.
• Molloy has been smothering teams defensively, allowing just 6.4 goals per game.
• Christian Michaels has been the man between the pipes for the Lions. He has a 6.55 goals against average and 66% save percentage.
• Molloy is terrific on faceoffs winning 66% on the season. Zachary Maligres has won 75% and Brandon Pazienza 67% and both have taken at least 75 draws.
• Six Lions have already scored in double-figures this season. Jake Taylor and Bryan Diliberto lead the team with 19 goals. Luke Kickam has 35 points.
• The Lions are forcing opponents into more than 20 turnovers per game and getting credit for more than 12. Thomas Kofod has a team-best 23 caused turnovers. 
• Thus far, Molloy has a shot on goal percentage nearing 60%. They're also scoring on two of every seven shots.
