How to Watch
• Tuesday's game is available to watch via a free-to-view broadcast on the Georgian Court portal of the CACC Digital Network, powered by HUDL. Live stats are also available on the Lions stat page.
Previously vs. West Chester
• There is a very slim history between these two teams.
• They played a doubleheader way back in 2001 before Georgian Court was an NCAA Division II institution. That was a doubleheader split.
• They also played a single game in 2023 as part of an early season tournament in Georgia, a 1-0 GCU win.
• That game saw
Adriana Mungo drive in the only run of the game with an RBI single in the seventh.
•
Janelle Blaszka and
Lia DeMaio are the only two current Lions who were on the roster in that 2023 game, but did not appear in it.
Last Time Out
• The Lions season started last Saturday with a doubleheader at Bowie State.
• Georgian Court picked up a win in game one, 11-3 in six innings.
Janelle Blaszka threw all six innings allowing three runs, two earned with seven strikeouts for the win.
• GCU fell in game two, 7-3.
Individual Milestones
• Two more innings pitched will bring
Janelle Blaszka to 300, just the eighth Lion to ever do that in the NCAA era.
•
Gabriella Aleman needs two hits to get to 30.
•
Charlee Mae Sinderud is four RBI and three runs away from 20.
The 2025 Roster
• The Lions have a small but mighty roster of 16 with eight returners and eight newcomers.
• Of the returners, juniors
Janelle Blaszka and
Lia DeMaio are the most veteran with the club, entering their third season at GCU.
• There's a large group of sophomores that includes
Gabriella Aleman,
Cheyenne Jackson,
Julia Lapp,
Isabella Molina, and
Charlee Mae Sinderud.
• Senior Kristy Regaldo is also in her second year with the team after transferring in before the 2024 season.
• Of the eight newcomers, only three are freshmen with five transfers.
Alexa Bracero,
Lillian Noyes and
Brooklyn Ragland make up the group of freshmen.
• Georgian Court welcomed Division I transfers
Mikayla LaPlaca from Notre Dame and
Kaylin Curro from Binghamton.
• Two transfers come to Lakewood from Division II,
Julianna Kellogg from UVA-Wise and
Reagan Winn from regional rival Adelphi.
•
Ella Moore is a junior college transfer from Florida Southwestern.
Coaches
• There are familiar faces among this year's coaching staff, however with some new roles.
•
Mikayla Pourby makes the jump from Assistant Coach to Interim Head Coach this season.
• Also in their second year with GCU are graduate assistant coach
Vienna Chierchia and volunteer
Mike Vogler.
The 2025 Schedule
• After this season opening doubleheader, Georgian Court starts their home slate Tuesday, March 4 against West Chester.
• Following that, they'll be back on the road for a six-game road trip spanning the East Coast in North Carolina and Virginia.
• The first CACC games of the season come towards the end of March against Holy Family.
• In total, Georgian Court has 40 games on their schedule with seven home doubleheaders.
