Barton Bulldogs
• The only time these teams met was for a doubleheader in the 2023 season, also played at Barton.
• The teams split the DH, Barton winning game on1 6-3 and GCU taking the second, 5-2.
• Game one saw the Lions grab a 3-2 lead following a third inning
Adriana Mungo home run. Barton scored four in the fifth though to come away with the win.
• The Lions scored two in each of the first two innings of game two on their way to a 5-2 win. Mungo had RBI hits in both innings and
Brittany Gable homered.

Chowan Hawks
• This is the second straight year these two teams have met.
• They played last season, an 8-6 Chowan victory.
• Tied at six following an
Alyssa Herrera home run, Chowan hit a two-run home run in the sixth to break the tie and seal the win.

Cheyenne Jackson scored three runs with a double and two stolen bases.
Virginia Union Panthers
• This is the first ever meeting between these two teams.
Last Time Out
• The Lions offense scored 15 runs in a doubleheader against West Chester, unfortunately that didn't result in any wins.
• West Chester scored five first inning runs and led throughout in a 19-9 win that went the full seven.
• Fighting darkness in game two, GCU saw a 4-0 lead slip away as the Golden Rams scored 11 in the final three innings of an 11-6 win.

Kaylin Curro tripled in each game and
Ella Moore had a pair of doubles and two runs batted in.

• The Lions have a small but mighty roster of 16 with eight returners and eight newcomers.
• Of the returners, juniors
Janelle Blaszka and
Lia DeMaio are the most veteran with the club, entering their third season at GCU.
• There's a large group of sophomores that includes
Gabriella Aleman,
Cheyenne Jackson,
Julia Lapp,
Isabella Molina, and
Charlee Mae Sinderud.
• Senior Kristy Regaldo is also in her second year with the team after transferring in before the 2024 season.
• Of the eight newcomers, only three are freshmen with five transfers.

Lillian Noyes and
Brooklyn Ragland make up the group of freshmen.
• Georgian Court welcomed Division I transfers
Mikayla LaPlaca from Notre Dame and
Kaylin Curro from Binghamton.
• Two transfers come to Lakewood from Division II,
Julianna Kellogg from UVA-Wise and
Reagan Winn from regional rival Adelphi.

• There are familiar faces among this year's coaching staff, however with some new roles.

Mikayla Pourby makes the jump from Assistant Coach to Interim Head Coach this season.

The 2025 Schedule
• After this season opening doubleheader, Georgian Court starts their home slate Tuesday, March 4 against West Chester.
• Following that, they'll be back on the road for a six-game road trip spanning the East Coast in North Carolina and Virginia.
• The first CACC games of the season come towards the end of March against Holy Family.
• In total, Georgian Court has 40 games on their schedule with seven home doubleheaders.

Barton Bulldogs
• Barton this season is 8-10 after getting swept Thursday by Francis Marion.
• The team is hitting .277 and scoring 4.3 runs per game.
• The pitching staff has been hit hard giving up 23 doubles, five triples and 15 home runs with a 4.95 ERA.
• Barton has played more small ball and create havoc on the bases with 51 stolen bases in 56 attempts.
• Makenzie Cyzick has 20 stolen bases and is hitting .403 with 14 runs and 11 RBI.

• Elizabeth Ingle has a team-high four home runs and is slugging .732.
Virginia Union Panthers
• Virginia Union has dropped seven straight and are 1-12 on the season.
• They recently were shutout by CACC foe Chestnut Hill, 5-0, in their most recent game.
• The Panthers are hitting just .213 as a team with seven extra base hits in 13 games.
• Nevaeh Johnson is hitting a team-best .333. Akhi Jenkins has scored six runs hitting .290.
• Virginia Union has a team ERA of 8.40. Teams are hitting .382 against Panther pitching who have struck out just 16 batters in 58 innings with 32 walks.
