Previously vs. Chestnut Hill
• This has developed into a terrific CACC rivalry.
• Outside of the 2020 and 2021 COVID-19 affected seasons, this will be the sixth straight season these teams have met in the postseason.
• Of late, the Griffins have gotten the better of the Lions winning three of four. CHC is 9-5 against GCU all-time.
• The Griffins are known for low-scoring games, and their affairs with the Lions have been no different. Just four times in 14 games have both teams scoring in double-figures.
• Chestnut Hill defeated the Lions twice last season in Philadelphia. The regular season season match up saw the Griffins jump out to a 4-0 lead. GCU clawed back to within one, 8-7, but Chestnut Hill put it away 9-7.
• In the post season, Chestnut Hill led 6-1 after the first quarter and clamped down defensively on their way to a 12-5 win and a berth in the CACC Championship game.
• Georgian Court snapped a three-game skid with the Griffins during the regular season with a 10-7 win.
• CHC led 5-2 midway through the second quarter before the Lions finished with a flurry, outscoring the Griffins 8-2.
• Tied at seven with less than four minutes to play,
Doug Mackenzie broke the tie and started a 3-0 GCU run in a 1:21 span to put the game away.
Last Time Out
