Men's and Women's Soccer Pick Up United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 4, 2025) - Late last week, the United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced their College Team Academic Award winners, recognizing collegiate programs for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.

In order to earn the USC's Team Academic Award, programs had to post a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or higher. There were 721 total teams (296 men, 425 women) that earned the award and 161 schools saw both their men's and women's program recognized.

Georgian Court was one of those 161 programs with both men's and women's team earning the Team Academic Award. They were one of just two CACC schools with both their men's and women's team earning the academic honor.

On the women's side, Georgian Court posted a 3.71 team GPA which put them in the top 16% of all schools. They finished with the highest GPA of any CACC school and were 16th among Division II institutions.

The Lion men completed the 2024-25 season with a 3.30 team GPA. That was the third highest among CACC schools.

Both teams report back to campus for preseason this month. Their first games of the 2025 regular season are a month away with the men playing at home September 4 and the women on the road September 5.
