Men's Soccer Plays Final Nonconference Games This Weekend

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Sept. 25, 2025) - Georgian Court Men's Soccer hits the road as they finish up the nonconference portion of their schedule.

• This is the Lions first ever meeting with both of these opponents. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court was able five seconds away from a draw with Jefferson at home, but instead fell 2-0. 
• The Rams took a 1-0 lead scoring with two seconds left in the first half. They added the second with two seconds remaining in regulation.
• Simon Mortensen got his first career start in goal against the Rams and made two saves.  

Individual Milestones
• Sotirios Gkosdis is 46 minutes away from having playing 2,000 in goal for the Lions.
• Alessandro Cavallini and Gijs van Eif's next game played will be their 40th.
• Van Eif also needs one more goal for 20. He'd be the fourth Lion to reach 20 career goals scored. 

CACC Stat Leaders
• Gijs van Eif is leading the CACC and is second in Division II averaging 4.50 shots per game. 
• Sotirios Gkosdis is 10th in the CACC with 18 saves. 
• The Lions offense is generating the second most corner kicks per game in the CACC at 5.17. 
• GCU is also fourth in shots per game and shots on goal per game. 
• Georgian Court's five saves per game sits fifth in the CACC.

• All season long the Lions don't play more than two straight games at home or more than two straight on the road.

About Roberts Wesleyan
• Roberts Wesleyan is yet to drop a game this season. They're 4-0-2 through their first six matches.
• The Redhawks are doing it on the strength of their defense. RWU has allowed just five goals all season.
• Eric Jewson has played every minute in goal and has a .861 save percentage with two shutouts. 
• Offensively, the Redhawks have scored just 10 goals and haven't scored more than two in any game this season.
• Archie Murphy has half of those goals with an ECC-leading five. He's scored at least once in four of six games.
• Sebastian Guerrero has three goals with two assists.

About Daemen
• Georgian Court goes from the top of the ECC in Roberts Wesleyan to the bottom. Daemen is 1-7 this season and have lost six straight.
• Aside from their 3-1 win at Malone, the Wildcats haven't score more than one goal in any other game and have been shut out three times.
• Daemen is averaging 4.125 goals against this season, towards the bottom of Division II and their -26 goal differential is the worst in the country.
