NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Jan. 12, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball finished the week strong playing for the first time at home in 2026. Not only did they snap a six-game losing streak, but in the process defeated Dominican for the first time in program history. The landmark victory helped Georgian Court land a pair of CACC Players of the Week.

The league's overall Player of the Week went to senior Cam Edmonds. Edmonds put up 20+ points in back-to-back games for Georgian Court, averaging 24.5 points per game. He shot 50% overall while making three three-pointers and was 14-18 at the free throw line. Edmonds also added eight rebounds, five assists and four steals on the week.

He started with a 26-point effort against Goldey-Beacom. Against Dominican, he helped GCU defeat the Chargers scoring 23 with four rebounds, three assists and three steals. He was 8-12 from the floor, his highest career shooting percentage when attempting 10 or more shots. 

The CACC's leading scorer is no stranger to the CACC Player of the Week award. Although this is his first this season, he earned it three times last season. If history is any indication, he might just be getting warmed up, as all three Player of the Week honors last season came in January and February. 

Speaking of three CACC weekly honors, Georgian Court freshman Jaycen Santucci earned his third Rookie of the Week award this season. He had a pair of double-figure point games for GCU last week. He averaged 16.5 points per game while shooting 50% overall, 40% from three and 50% at the line.

Santucci started his week with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double effort against Goldey-Beacom. He finished by scoring 21 on 9-15 shooting with seven rebounds in the Lions first ever win over Dominican.

Georgian Court plays twice on the road this week. They'll be at Chestnut Hill Wednesday, Jan. 14 for an 8 pm tipoff. They conclude at Felician Saturday, Jan. 17 at 3:30 pm.
