LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 8, 2026) - This weekend a handful of Georgian Court throwers will be in action for the first time in 2026. The Lions will send nine, three women and six men to Geneva, Ohio for the SPIRE Academy Throws/Jumps Festival.
When: Saturday, January 10 - 12 pm
Where: Geneva, Ohio - SPIRE Throws Academy
Georgian Court will send nine throwers to compete in the shot put, weight throw and discus. While the discus is not an NCAA Indoor Track and Field event, the facility is large enough to safely host the event and the Lions are taking advantage of the opportunity.

Kaydence Fischer - Shot Put, Discus
Adrianna Fodera - Shot Put, Weight Throw
Chiamaka Wokocha - Discus, Weight Thrown
Men
Cameren Anderson -Â Shot Put, Weight Throw
Guius Dabney -Â Shot Put, Weight Throw
Malicah Etienne -Â Shot Put, Discus
Mark Linton - Discus, Weight Throw
Anthony Lorenzo -Â Shot Put, Weight Throw
Amir Spruell-Everson -Â Shot Put, Weight Throw
Georgian Court Track and Field Notes
• After the first meet of the season, Etienne is leading the ECC in the shot put while Dabney, Linton and Spruell-Everson are third-fifth in the conference.
Adrianna Fodera and
Kaydence Fischer are in the top-five in the shot put on the women's side.
• In the weight throw, Linton is leading the ECC with Dabney and Spruell-Everson also in the top-10. Fodera and Wokocha rank fourth and fifth for the Lion women.Â
• This is just the start to the spring semester for GCU Track and Field. The indoor season picks up in earnest next weekend. They'll compete at the NYC Gotham Cup next Friday, Jan. 16 for the first full-team meet of 2026.Â
