Final Week of the Regular Season for Men's Basketball Starts at Wilmington

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 24, 2026) - There's just two games left in the CACC Men's Basketball regular season and Georgian Court Men's Basketball is fighting for a playoff spot. They're on the road tomorrow night for their penultimate game of the year, and the final road game of the 2025-26 regular season.

Previously vs. Wilmington
• A year ago Georgian Court split with Wilmington, with the home team winning each.
• Earlier this season, the Wildcats snuck out of Lakewood with a two-point win following a buzzer-beater layup in an incredibly close game. 
• Four Lions were in double figures led by Cam Edmonds' 17 points. 
• Amar Lane scored 13 points and set a new GCU record with seven blocked shots.
• All-time the Lions are 6-17 against Wilmington. They've dropped five of their last six to the Wildcats. 

Individual Milestones
• Cam Edmonds is five rebounds away from 400 in his career. 
• Eli Nix needs two points to get to 50 in his first season at GCU.
• Donavin Crawford's next game played will put him fourth all-time in Lions history. Two more and he'll be the fourth Lion to ever play in 90 career games. 
• Taheen Braswell-Brown's next game played will be his 70th. 

Who's Hot?
• Donavin Crawford is scoring 14.6 points over his last five games with four double-digit point games in that span. 
• Tesneem Ajeigbe is shooting 72% from the floor over his last six games. He matched a career-high with eight points at Dominican. 
• Taheen Braswell-Brown scored seven points with five rebounds Saturday against the Chargers. 

Double Dipping
• Cam Edmonds has scored at least 10 points in 50 straight games.
• That broke Caleb Bowser's record from January, 2019-February, 2020 of 31 straight games. 

Block Party
• The Lions individual single-season record for blocked shots has already been broken this season.
• Amar Lane swatted his 32nd block, needing just 14 games to set a new single-season record. He's now at 57 and counting.
• Lane also matched the Lions single-game record blocking seven shots against Wilmington. 
• As a team, Georgian Court has recorded 133 blocks this season. It's their first season with 100 or more blocks. 
• Tesneem Ajeigbe blocked five shots against Felician and is up to 28 this year. 
• The Lions have 23 blocked shots in their last three games. 

CACC Leaders 
• Georgian Court is up near the top of the league in a couple of defensive categories.
• Their 5.1 blocks per game lead the CACC and are sixth in Division II. 
• Georgian Court is also fourth in the CACC in field goal percentage defense as teams are shooting 44% from the floor.
• GCU is scoring the fifth-most fastbreak points in the conference at 11.2 per game. 
• Led by Cam Edmonds, GCU's 18.7 free throws made per game are second in the CACC and are 11th in the country. 
• Amar Lane leads the league with 55 blocks and 2.29 per game. He's in the top-15 nationally in both categories. 
• Tesneem Ajeigbe is also in the top-10 in the CACC in total blocks and blocks per game. 
• Cam Edmonds leads the CACC scoring 21 points per game which ranks 18th nationally. He's also got the most free throws made and attempted in Division II. 
• Edmonds is one of four active players in Division II with at least 500 made free throws. He ranks third in Division II and 10th in all three NCAA divisions in made free throws among active players.
• Jaycen Santucci sits sixth in the league with 4.6 defensive rebounds per game. 
• Donavin Crawford is fifth in three-pointers made per game and seventh in total threes. 

The New CACC
• This season, the CACC will have a new look to it. The league currently stands at 11 teams with Bloomfield having departed after the 2024-25 academic year.
• The league has also done away with the North and South Divisions in favor of a single set of standings with all 11 teams. 
• Additionally, there's been changes to the league schedule. Teams will now play all CACC opponents twice, once at home and once on the road.  
• Georgian Court is finished with their nonconference slate. From here on out, they'll be playing only CACC games. 
• The Lions have completed their first half of the CACC schedule, going 3-7. Everyone plays each opponent once before seeing a team for a second time. 

Playoff Picture
• With only two games left to play, every game is crucial for the Lions.
• The new-look CACC sees the top eight teams make the postseason as the league has done away with divisions.
• Georgian Court is currently one game out of a playoff spot at 6-12. 
• Thus far, Felician, Goldey-Beacom, Caldwell, Jefferson, Post and Dominican have secured playoff spots. 
• Five teams are within two games battling for the final two playoff spots. 
• Holy Family and Bridgeport have a leg up at 7-11, but unfavorable schedules the rest of the way.
• The Lions are tied with Chestnut Hill at 6-12, who also has a daunting week ahead.

About Wilmington
• Wilmington is a game behind the Lions at 5-13 in the CACC. They need to go 2-0 this week and get some help, plus have the right tiebreakers to make the CACC Tournament. 
• The Wildcats are used to high scoring games, scoring 78.6 points per game and giving up 80.5.
• A lot of the Wildcats points come from behind the line where their 34.4 three-point percentage is second in the CACC. 
• They're also adept at getting to the line and making free throws. They average 17.2 per game and are shooting 70.4%.
• Wilmington's defense when they aren't giving up points, are turning teams over. They force 15.7 per game, third-best in the league.
• Five Wildcats are scoring double-figures led by Tre Hawkins' 16 points per game. He's shooting 49.7% overall with 8.5 rebounds per game as well.
• On the glass, Wilmington is near the bottom of the league with a -5.8 rebound margin. 
• Guard Denim Perkins is second in the league in assists.
• Jaiden Guy is second in the CACC shooting 50.4% from the floor. 
• Wilmington has a tendency to get their shots blocked. Opponents have blocked twice as many shots as Wilmington has this season.
