Last Time Out
• Georgian Court began the 2026 outdoor season traveling in the opposite direction in New Jersey, going south for the Stockton Invitational.
• Most competed in just one event for their first meet in a month.
• It was a successful day for the Lions with six event winners.
New Look Top-10
• Already to start the outdoor season, Georgian Court has 12 new marks in the top-10.
•
Daizhae' Brown is two on the women's side in the 100m and the long jump.
• In the throws, the men have five new marks.
Cameren Anderson stamped his name in the record books in three events, the shot put, hammer throw and javelin.
Outdoor Track
• The outdoor season brings with it new events, especially in the throwing events as the discus, hammer throw and javelin are all competed outdoors.
• On the track, the shortest sprint jumps from a 60m to 100m. That goes for hurdles as well with the 100m hurdles for women and 110m hurdles for men. There is also a second hurdle race added, the 400m intermediate hurdles.
• Mid-distance runners drop from the mile indoors to 1500m outdoors. There is also the addition of the 3,000m steeplechase and the 10,000m races.
• The biggest difference of course is the size of the track. Indoors is competed typically on a 200m track, and where the Lions mostly compete it's a 200m banked track. Outdoors doubles in size to a 400m flat track.
What to Watch
• The Monmouth Season Opener had a cap on entries in field events and qualifying minimums.
• Once again, most GCU competitors, especially on the track, are running just one event.
•
Molly Burns is the lone exception on the women's side running the 200m and 400m dashes.
•
Ryan Pettrow is entered in the 800m and 1500m races.
• The GCU men will also have a 4x400m relay team entered. It'll be the first outdoor relay for either team this season.
• Georgian Court's throwers have a large contingent competing, with at least three Lions in the shot put, discus and hammer throws.
•
Cameren Anderson is entered in four throws, the shot, disc, hammer and javelin.
Georgian Court Awards
• It was a big week for GCU Track and Field when it came to awards.
•
Malicah Etienne was named the CACC Field Athlete of the Week in the first round of awards for the season.
•
Shona Mutokuto and
Sigurlaug Sveinsdottir were the CACC Field Rookies of the Week.
•
Adrianna Fodera and

• The first two weeks, GCU will compete in their home state of New Jersey at Stockton and Monmouth.
• They'll then head to Pennsylvania for two weeks at Millersville and the annual Shippensburg Mid-Week Bonanza.
• The final week of the regular season sees the historic Penn Relays as well as the TCNJ Lions Invitaitonal.
• The 2026 CACC Championship meet is once again hosted by Georgian Court. That's held Friday-Saturday, May 1-2.
