COLONIA, NY (March 25, 2026) - In just her first season at Georgian Court, freshman Daizhae' Brown made an immediate impact. At the ECC Championship meet, Brown totaled 24 points for the Lions and was chosen as the East Coast Conference Field Athlete of the Year.

Of those 24 points at the conference meet, Brown scored 18 in the jumps events. She was the winner of the long jump and finished in second-place in the triple jump. Additionally she took third in the 60m dash. 

Brown's top jump indoors in the long jump was 18-8.5 which came at the conference meet and was the top jump in the conference. Her mark of 37-5, also coming at the ECC Championships, was second in the conference.

While she didn't compete in the high jump at the conference meet, she did jump 5-1 in the event during the season which was tied for fifth in the league. 

Brown put herself in the top-5 in four events indoors at GCU. Her time of 7.73 set a new school record in the 60m dash. She also moved to third in the long jump and fifth in both the triple and high jumps. 

The last time Georgian Court had an ECC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year came in 2023 when Aniyah Russell was honored, repeating in 2022 and 2023.
